BROADCAST and STUDIO TECHNOLOGIES
This is an open course that would suit students who have an interest in music technology and/ or radio broadcast. It has scope to include writing and mixing music using DAWs such as Logic, FL Studio, SoundTrap and Abelton Live
- The course runs alongside the current Music programme – it will be taught within the same class.
- Students do not need to have any prior experience in music
- This course will not be eligible for course endorsement (unless an external standard is included into the course)
The course has flexibility to be centred around students interest.
Film, Radio, Music Studio. Where possible it will also have ties with the music students.eg: Med Studies 2.8 could involve writing a Radio segment or Podcast focussing on an aspect of NZ music (AS91278) and be used as evidence towards this standard. There is also opportunity to study Radio standards which aretaught in class, but assessed by an outside provider. These standards include: - Plan and broadcast a radio programme using an automated system. (5 credits internal) - Write a voice report for radio. (5 credits internal) |
