LEVEL 3Music Studies encompasses the learning of conventions used in the creation of music. It looks at musical scores, listening and aural transcription, musical theory, and arranging - which is an alternative to composition for those with a heavy performance load.

3.8 (91423) Examine the influence of context on a substantial music work
You will study a selection of music works or a major work and examining the context in which it was written/performed etc and how this influences the expressive qualities of the music. It will be assessed formatively in as a series of formative assignments. An overall grade will be based on the evidence gained from these assessments.
